Final session of summer golf camp to start next week
(Lawrence, Kan.) – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s final two-day golf camp at Eagle Bend Golf Course and Learning Center, 1250 E. 902 Rd., begins next week.
The camp is available to beginner junior golfers, ages 11 to 17 years old. A pee-wee camp is also available for children ages 6 to 10 years old.
The beginning junior camp will meet 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, July 21-22, while the pee-wee camp will meet 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
There is also an advanced junior camp for those who want further instruction beyond the beginning junior level. The advanced junior camp will be held twice from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept 1-2 and Sept. 15-16.
To register, individuals can enroll online at www.lprd.org or they can visit a Lawrence Parks and Recreation facility, including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr.; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.; the Administrative Offices, 947 New Hampshire St. or South Park Recreation Center, 1141 Massachusetts St.
