1) City Band ends with a bang; Brown Bag Concert Series continues

(Lawrence, Kan.) – Lawrence Parks and Recreation’s summer concert series will feature two outstanding performances.
Tonight, enjoy the Lawrence City Band’s Summer Concert Series. The band will end their series with “The Grand Finale” at 8 p.m. at the William Kelly Bandstand located in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to Murphy Hall, Room 130, on the University of Kansas campus.
The Brown Bag Concert Series will feature Billy Ebeling & the Late for Dinner Band. The concert will begin at noon Thursday, July 15, in front of U.S. Bank, 900 Massachusetts St. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at Watkins Community Museum, 1047 Massachusetts St.
Both of these concerts are free and open to the public.

(Lawrence, Kan.) – The City of Lawrence will perform routine maintenance on several web servers on Friday, July 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This maintenance will cause the GIS systems that operate the interactive mapping and Cemetery Records Search applications to be unavailable, both externally and internally, on Friday.
Maintenance is expected to be complete by Friday evening and all access will be restored.

(Lawrence, Kan.) – The City of Lawrence Street Maintenance division will close the 800 block of Walnut Street on July 15 and 16, weather permitting. The closure is related to a street resurfacing project in the area. Traffic will be closed to all thru traffic. Residents in the affected area will be notified prior to the street closure.
