Aquatic fitness classes begin soon
(Lawrence, Kan.) – The next session of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s aquatic fitness classes begin next week with classes available mornings and evenings on weekdays and Saturdays.
Water Aerobics is for a higher-intensity workout that will increase cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone, while Water Walking is a moderate-intensity workout that focuses on overall toning and body balance.
Aqua Zumba infuses Latin-inspired dance to your water workout.
The Aquatic Division also offers several specialized classes, like Jivin’ Joints for people who have arthritis and Pre-Natal Water Fitness and Aqua Baby & Me are for those who are expecting a child or have recently had a baby.
Class schedules and more detailed descriptions can be found in the 2012 Winter/Spring Activities Guide, which is also available at online at www.lprd.org. Pre-registration is required.
