Public meeting planned to discuss improvements to skatepark

(Lawrence, Kan.) – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will hold a meeting to discuss improvements to Centennial Park’s skatepark 6 p.m. Friday, April 6, at the Carnegie Building, 200 W. 9th St. The public is invited to attend.

The Skatepark in Centennial Park, located at 600 Rockledege Rd., was created in 1998 and was originally designed as a “street” course.  Input will be taken on what features and improvements are desired.

Those unable to attend the public meeting who may have comments regarding improvements are encouraged to contact the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office at 832-3450 or by e-mail at parksrec@lawrenceks.org.
