Annual report provides details on quality and safety of Lawrence water
(Lawrence, Kan.) – The Lawrence Utilities Department reports that drinking water produced in 2011 met all safety and quality requirements as required by regulations. This verification is made through the annual Consumer Confidence Report, which was recently completed and is now available online.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires that all drinking water suppliers inform customers about the quality of their drinking water through this report. Lawrence’s report will be sent to customers in the city’s Utility bills during the May billing cycle. It is also available for customers to view on the City’s web site at www.lawrenceks.org/utilities/files/CCR_2012_Legal%20%282%29.pdf.
