Five-car traffic accident to impact westbound traffic on 6th Street tonight
(Lawrence, Kan.) - The Lawrence Police Department and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical are responding to a five-car traffic accident at 6th and Kasold in Lawrence. There are injuries associated with the accident. Please avoid this area of 6th Street if at all possible by utilizing an alternative route, including Bob Billings Parkway or 23rd Street.
At the present time, only one lane is available for westbound traffic and two lanes are available for eastbound traffic. Motorists can expect major delays in each direction.
