Water main break on 1001 Emery closes street to through traffic
(Lawrence, Kan.) – A water main break at 1001 Emery has closed the street to through traffic. Lawrence Utilities crews will be repairing the water main this morning. However due to its location in the street, street repairs will be required. These repairs may take 2-3 days to complete. Traffic control devices will be set up to notify motorists of the road closure to through traffic. Utilities crews have notified all affected customers and are on site while locates are completed. The water main is an 8-inch cast iron pipe installed in 1965.
