I Recycle. Do You? America Recycles Day Coming to Lawrence
City of Lawrence Waste Reduction and Recycling Division Plans America Recycles Day Outreach on Thursday, November 15
(LAWRENCE, Kan.) – “I Recycle” is the theme of the 2012 America Recycles Day (ARD), which takes place on Nov. 15. Millions of Americans have pledged to increase their recycling habits at home and at work since the first ARD in 1997, a nationally-recognized initiative which is organized by Keep America Beautiful and dedicated to encouraging people to recycle more at home, at work, and on the go.
The City of Lawrence Waste Reduction and Recycling Division will proudly declare “I Recycle. Do you?” at an America Recycles Day event, on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. City staff will be on hand with a recycling display from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer questions and give out recycling information and prizes.
