Children’s New Year’s Eve Overnighter to be held
(Lawrence, Kan.) – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department invites parents to sign their children up to ring in the New Year with games and activities at the New Year’s Eve Overnighter, which will be held at the Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. The event is open to children ages 5 years-old to 12 years-old.
New Year’s Eve Overnighter runs 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., Monday, Dec. 31 to Tuesday, Jan. 1. Children will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. Parents will need to pick up their children at the Holcom Park Recreation Center at 8 a.m., Tuesday, January 1.
The cost of the event is $30 per child.
Registration deadline is 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28.
Registration is available online at www.lprd.org or at any Parks and Recreation facility, including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.; the Administrative Offices in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St.
