Nature Center to host recycled crafts class
(Lawrence, Kan.) – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center will offer children a chance to create crafts while helping the Earth at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper Street.
Creative Recycled Crafts for Kids is a class offered this Friday, Feb.8, giving children the opportunity to make crafts using recycled products. There will be morning and afternoon sessions available. The morning session will run 10 a.m. - noon, and the afternoon session will run 2-4 p.m. The class is open to children ages 7 years-old to 12 years-old and is $10 per participant.
Registration can also be done online on the department’s website or at any recreation facility, including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. or the Administrative Offices in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St.
