City crews continue work in neighborhoods
(Lawrence, Kan.) - The City of Lawrence street maintenance crews and private contractors continue to plow through neighborhoods. Crews will continue plowing overnight and into Saturday to complete the neighborhoods.
The city estimates that, when complete, crews will have hauled off a total of 44 million cubic feet of snow. Crews are in the process of plowing areas and/or hauling snow out of neighborhoods and intersections. Crews are also working in downtown to haul off the snow that has fallen since Thursday.
Crews expect to finish neighborhoods on Saturday. Then, they will turn their attention to another storm which may impact Lawrence on Sunday night.
