Parks and Recreation facilities remain closed for the evening, will reopen tomorrow morning on their regular schedule; programming canceled

Parks and Recreation facilities remain closed for the evening, will reopen tomorrow morning on their regular schedule; programming canceled

( Lawrence, Kan.) – City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department facilities will remain closed throughout today and will reopen tomorrow Wednesday, Feb. 27, with their regular scheduled hours of operation.

All evening parks and recreation classes, programs and sports activities have also been canceled, as well as all morning programs tomorrow Wednesday, Feb. 27.  All programming scheduled after noon will be held as scheduled.
 
Opening at 7 a.m. will be: East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. and the Community Building 115 W. 11th St. 
 
The Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive, will open at 5:15 a.m. for lap swimming.
 
Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St., will open at 9 a.m.
